You will have a range of accommodation options to choose from, including private dorms and multi-bedroom apartments. All utilities are included in one convenient monthly payment, and every housing unit is centrally located on campus for easy access to classes and facilities.
Support is available 24 hours a day, with staff ready to assist with any questions or concerns. You will also have the chance to take part in a variety of fun events designed to help you connect with others and feel at home. UR’s residence buildings offer inviting lounge areas with pool tables, gaming consoles, and dedicated study spaces—providing everything you need to make your campus living experience both enjoyable and rewarding.
The University of Regina’s main campus provides outstanding facilities, including the Centre for Kinesiology, Health & Sport. This dynamic building features a three-court gymnasium with seating for up to 2,200 spectators, an elevated four-lane running track, lecture halls and classrooms, cutting-edge teaching and research laboratories, the Centre for Health, Wellness & Performance, the Athlete Health & Performance Initiative, two additional gymnasiums, varsity team rooms—including the Rams headquarters—movement studios, the Aquatics Centre, and a 240-car underground parkade.
Outdoors, you will find the University of Regina Field, a fully lit facility built in 2005. It now serves as the practice venue for the Rams and the training and match home for the women’s soccer team.
The university is also home to the Student Wellness Centre—an inclusive care hub offering medical support from nurse practitioners and mental health services delivered by professional counsellors. The modern campus environment includes inviting study areas, multiple libraries, accessible computer lounges, and a wide selection of food outlets.

Athletics are an exciting part of campus life, with UR’s intervarsity teams including basketball, cross country, ice hockey, Rams football, soccer, swimming, track and field, and volleyball. These teams compete with institutions across North America and attract high-performing athletes from around the world. International students are also eligible for athletic scholarships. If competitive sports are not your thing, you can still get involved through a wide range of sports clubs such as curling, dance, flag football, golf, ringette, rugby 7s, softball, triathlon, and ultimate disc—or simply join the crowd and cheer on the teams with pride.
The University of Regina is committed to building a more sustainable future through its comprehensive Sustainability Action Plan, which supports initiatives across teaching, research, campus operations, and the overall student experience. The university is actively aligning its efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, using education and research as key tools to drive meaningful change.
In recognition of its efforts, the QS World University Rankings placed the University of Regina in the top 25 percent globally for Sustainability in 2024. The university received strong scores in areas such as Environmental Research, Health and Wellbeing, Equality, and Governance.
Sustainability is embedded in many aspects of campus life. UR researchers are addressing global challenges including climate change, water and energy conservation, social and environmental justice, education, equality, and health. In 2023, the Print Optimisation Programme—led by Information Services—successfully reduced greenhouse gas emissions from printing by 40%, cut printing costs from over $900,000 to $350,000 per year, and lowered paper use by more than 30%.
Facilities Management plays a leading role in reducing the university’s environmental impact by implementing energy efficiency measures, enhancing recycling efforts, and launching carbon reduction initiatives in collaboration with the campus community and industry partners.
Students are also taking the lead in sustainability through hands-on projects like the Green Patch, a 5,000-square-foot on-campus fruit and vegetable garden. This student-operated space promotes organic, locally-grown food and strengthens community connections by contributing produce to local food donation efforts.
