UFC Students Win NCUK Academic Prize Awards for the Third Consecutive Year (2024–25)

University Foundation College (UFC), which delivers NCUK university pathway programmes in Qatar for students progressing to leading universities worldwide, is proud to celebrate another year of academic excellence as its students receive prestigious NCUK Academic Prize Awards for the third consecutive year, in recognition of their outstanding results following the successful completion of the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) programme.

Academic Prize Award winners have been honoured as some of the top-performing NCUK students in the world. Students who have achieved these Prize Awards include:

  • Muntaha Ul Haque- Winner of the Regional High Achiever award, making her 1st in the Middle East for academic performance on the NCUK International Foundation Year. She is now pursuing LLB Law at King’s College London, continuing her academic journey with excellence.
NCUK Prize Awards 2025 - Regional High Achiever

Winners of the Recognised Achiever Award, making them some of the top NCUK International Foundation Year students in the Middle East.

  1. Mahmoud Wesam Mahmoud Mohamed Abousamra – Progressed to the University of Birmingham to study Mechanical Engineering
  2. Omar Ibrahim Moh’d Adel Hamdan – Progressed to the University of Leeds to study Computer Science
  3. Sophia Naomi Flores Barredo – Progressed to Monash University, Australia to study Computer Science
  4. Muhannad Hussam Hamed Alsabbagh – Progressed to Oryx University-Liverpool John Moores University, Qatar to study Human Resource Management
  5. Michael Okemwa Omariba – Progressed to Lancaster University to study Biomedical Science
  6. Jasmine Inès Tabi – Progressed to Queen Mary University of London, Malta Campus to study MBBS
  7. Mohamad Rayyaan Nur Aulia – Progressed to Monash University, Australia to study Geography
  8. Sumaiya Sajid – Progressed to Queen Mary University of London to study Computer Science

More than 4,000 students worldwide across five continents completed an NCUK pathway programme in the 2024/25 academic year, making the accomplishments of students from University Foundation College.

University Foundation College (UFC) are delighted to celebrate another year of exceptional success. For the third consecutive year, a UFC student has been recognised as the Highest Achiever in the Middle East, alongside eight students receiving prestigious Recognised High Achiever Awards. This achievement highlights the talent of our students and the strength of our academic team, helping us to maintain our 98% student progression rate to undergraduate programmes, both locally and internationally.

The NCUK Prize Awards celebrate the achievements and dedication of our students worldwide. Their success is a powerful reminder of how education can transform lives. I offer my warmest congratulations to this year’s winners, and my sincere thanks to our NCUK Study Centres, whose continued commitment to academic excellence inspires us each and every day.
