Lyndsay Wootton is an EAP Lecturer at University Foundation College. Originally from the UK, she has extensive experience teaching English in Qatar, Japan and Hong Kong. During her time at the British Council in Qatar, she taught a wide range of learners and supported students preparing for the IELTS examination. In Japan and Hong Kong, she taught learners of different ages and levels in a variety of English language settings, gaining experience working with students from many different cultural backgrounds.

She holds a Master’s degree in English Language Studies from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her dissertation, Who I Am and How I Learn: Introversion/Extroversion and Language Learning, explored how personality can influence the way people approach language learning, including their learning needs, experiences and preferences.

Lyndsay is passionate about university life and lifelong learning and enjoys helping students develop the confidence and skills they need to make the most of their time at university. She particularly enjoys meeting students from different backgrounds and learning about their experiences and interests.

Outside of work, Lyndsay enjoys cooking food from around the world, travelling, and spending time at home with her two cats (and husband).
