Lecturer

Kate Holmes is an experienced educator and human resources professional with a career spanning both fields. She holds an MA in Human Resource Management and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), demonstrating her commitment to professional development and best practice.

Kate began her career in human resources, working in a range of HR roles for several years. During this time, she gained valuable experience in recruitment, employee relations, training, and organisational development. Her HR background provided a strong foundation in communication, leadership, and supporting individuals to achieve their potential.

Motivated by a passion for language and learning, Kate later transitioned into English language teaching, where she has built a successful career over the past 24 years. She has taught English to learners from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, helping them develop the language skills and confidence needed for academic, personal, and workplace success.

Drawing on her expertise in both HR and education, Kate brings a practical and people-focused approach to her work. She is dedicated to empowering learners, fostering personal growth, and helping individuals communicate effectively in an increasingly global environment.
