NCUK partners with the University of Reading Malaysia
Posted on : 1 February 2026
NCUK is pleased to announce that the University of Reading Malaysia has joined the NCUK Global Network as a partner university in Malaysia. This partnership provides NCUK students with an additional progression option to continue their undergraduate studies at a UK branch campus in Southeast Asia.
Through this partnership, students who complete their NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY) at University Foundation College in Qatar can progress to the University of Reading Malaysia for their undergraduate degree programmes.
Located in Iskandar Puteri, Malaysia, the University of Reading Malaysia is the University of Reading’s first overseas campus and delivers the same high quality UK education within a dynamic international environment. Students benefit from strong academic standards, small class sizes and teaching shaped by world class research.
By offering a globally recognised UK degree alongside an engaging campus experience and a competitive cost of study, UoRM provides students with a solid academic foundation and a clear route towards future career success.
Career development is embedded into the student experience at UoRM, with opportunities including pre graduation internships and participation in the RED Award. This programme combines work experience, volunteering and professional training to strengthen student profiles, with many students securing employment opportunities even before graduation.
The campus is equipped with modern teaching and learning facilities, including lecture theatres, IT enabled classrooms and specialised laboratories supporting disciplines such as Business, Psychology, Law and the Built Environment. Campus life centres around the Heartspace, a landscaped social hub with an amphitheatre that hosts events, talks and performances, encouraging interaction and a strong sense of community.
The University of Reading Malaysia accepts NCUK qualifications including the International Foundation Year and English for Academic Purposes, providing a clear progression route to undergraduate study.
