Based in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, NUMed offers the Foundation in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biomedical Sciences. These programmes follow the same academic structure and assessment methods as those delivered in the United Kingdom, ensuring students receive UK recognised qualifications at a more affordable cost.
The MBBS degree awarded by NUMed is recognised by the General Medical Council in the UK, enabling graduates to pursue further training or registration in the United Kingdom, subject to the relevant local regulations at the time.

You will study a UK standard medical curriculum with early clinical exposure, and have opportunities to get involved in research or spend time at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom through elective or exchange placements.
Students at both the Malaysia and UK campuses receive comprehensive career support. The dedicated Career Services team provides personalised guidance on career planning, CV writing, applying for summer internships, and more. Students on the Biomedical Sciences programme also receive support in exploring career options and preparing for their next steps.
For those in the medical programme, the focus is on supporting graduates with applications for housemanship or the UK Foundation Training Programme. While NUMed does not guarantee job placements, as applications are made directly to the NHS, the university remains committed to guiding and supporting students throughout their careers, including after graduation. In recent years, over 80 percent of NUMed graduates each year have successfully secured positions as Foundation Doctors in the UK.
